Just outside of Central Park, across the street from the world-famous Metropolitan Museum of Art, Maggie and Alex held their gorgeous wedding in another famous building that was once the height of luxury for New York City.
The Pratt Mansion on Fifth Avenue
Built-in the early 1900’s, the Pratt Mansion’s Guilded era architecture still stuns with its beauty. Three separate buildings make up the Mansion, all designed by world-famous architects Joseph Van Vlek and Goldwin Goldsmith.
Being a Francophile myself, (if I could never leave Paris, it would be a dream) I love the Parisian influences in the design. Thankfully, the museum block of NYC is like little Paris, and standing gorgeously above it all is the Pratt Mansions.
Maggie and Alex Pratt Mansion Wedding was a dream to remember. An intimate, affair full of laughter, love and joy.
We began the day with Maggie getting ready in a stunning gown and doing their First Look overlooking Central Park.
Of course, after their first look, I had to get an iconic shot from the street. They looked like French Royalty in the window of the Pratt Mansion. We then took lovely photos in the snow, as Maggie placed on a mink coat reminiscent of Aubrey Hepburn’s own Mink coat designed by French designer, Hubert de Givenchy.
Coming back in, Maggie and Alex decided to warm up for a moment, before it was their big moment. They held their intimate ceremony inside the Pratt Mansion surrounded by loved ones. It was such a beautiful lovely moment. Maggie’s grandmother walked her down the aisle. A woman so full of joy and life. I’m tearing up just thinking about it.
After the ceremony, the band began playing and soon, the entire room began dancing. And, into the night they danced until it was finally time to say our goodbyes.
