You wouldn’t know it by looking at it, but this Maine elopement was the backup plan after the original overseas wedding plans were cancelled due to COVID. But everything about this elopement came together like magic for Nika and Hand. It was the perfect intimate wedding with only their immediate family in attendance.
Nika and Hani got married at the top of Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park, which is the first spot in the US where the sun hits every morning. Nika walked down the aisle by herself and was surrounded by cheers and applause from other visitors and tourists. She owns Calligraphette Co. and is a calligrapher and stationery designer, and created all the paper for her own wedding.
After the ceremony, they met their guests for a party on a sailboat where they had drinks and their first dance. They then headed to a local restaurant for an amazing intimate dinner with their family.
It was the perfect sort of day celebrating their love in a gorgeous place.
